Frequently asked questions
What types of payment do you accept? We accept cash, checks, and major credit and debit cards. A 3% processing fee applies to card payments, and a 3.75% processing fee applies to American Express.
How long does a detail take? Service times vary depending on the vehicle’s size, condition, and the service selected. Most interior or exterior details take approximately 2–5 hours. More extensive services or heavily soiled vehicles may require additional time. We will provide an estimated completion time when you book.
Can I drop my vehicle off early? Yes! We encourage early drop-offs when needed. Our key drop box is located to the left of the front door. Please do not drop your vehicle off more than 24 hours before your appointment, as parking space is limited.
Can I pick up my vehicle after hours? Yes. If you need to pick up your vehicle after our normal business hours, a team member will park your vehicle in the designated pickup area and provide instructions for retrieving your keys and completing payment online.
Do you offer vehicle pickup and drop-off? Yes! We can pick up your vehicle, bring it to Livingston Auto Spa for service, and return it when the service is complete. Pickup and drop-off starts at $25 and varies based on your distance from our shop. Pickup and drop-off must be scheduled in advance and is available for qualifying services.
Do you accept walk-ins? Yes, we can accept walk-ins when availability allows. Walk-ins are on a first come first serve basis.
Do I need an appointment? Yes. Most services are performed by appointment. Booking in advance ensures we have enough time and space available for your vehicle.
What should I do before dropping off my vehicle? Please remove personal belongings, valuables, child seats, and any other items you do not want left in the vehicle. We recommend taking photos of the vehicle and its contents before drop-off.
Do you detail heavily soiled vehicles? Yes. We work on vehicles in all conditions. Vehicles with excessive dirt, pet hair, stains, mold, biohazards, or other extreme conditions may require additional labor and may be subject to an additional charge. We will discuss any additional charges before beginning the work.
Can you remove stains and odors? We can significantly improve many stains and odors, but we cannot guarantee complete removal. Results depend on the type of stain or odor, the material affected, and how long it has been present. Professional odor treatment is available for persistent odors.
What happens if additional work is needed? If we discover that your vehicle requires additional work beyond the service you booked, we will communicate with you before performing any additional chargeable work.
Do I need to leave my vehicle all day? Not necessarily. Your estimated completion time depends on the service you’ve selected. We will provide an estimated pickup time when your vehicle is checked in.
Do you guarantee the results of a detail? We stand behind the quality of our work. However, detailing results depend heavily on the vehicle’s condition and the age and severity of stains, odors, scratches, and other damage. We cannot guarantee complete removal of pre-existing damage or permanent defects.
Is my vehicle safe while it is at your shop? We take reasonable precautions to protect your vehicle while it is in our care. Customers should remove valuables and personal belongings before drop-off. Livingston Auto Spa is not responsible for personal items left inside the vehicle.
How do I book an appointment? The easiest way to schedule your service is through our online booking system. Select your vehicle, choose your service, and select an available appointment time. If you’re unsure which service is right for you, contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment? Yes. We understand that schedules change. Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Appointments canceled or changed with insufficient notice may be subject to our cancellation policy.
Does my vehicle need paint correction before ceramic coating? Not necessarily, but proper paint preparation is extremely important. If your vehicle has swirls, scratches, oxidation, or other paint defects they will get locked into the finish. A 1-step paint correction is included in all ceramic coating packages to ensure a flawless finish and secure bond.
Does ceramic coating prevent scratches? No. Ceramic coating improves protection against environmental contamination and makes the vehicle easier to maintain, but it is not scratch-proof. For protection against rock chips and physical damage, we recommend paint protection film (PPF).
What is PPF? Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a transparent protective film designed to protect your vehicle’s paint from rock chips, road debris, scratches, and other physical damage. We offer both full and partial PPF options.
How long does window tint take? Most window tint installations can be completed the same day. Installation time varies depending on the vehicle, number of windows, and whether old tint needs to be removed.
Can you remove old window tint? Yes. We offer professional tint removal. Removal is priced separately because the amount of time required varies depending on the condition and age of the existing film.
